EXPLORE OUR FEELINGS
WORRY IS A FEELING OF BEING NERVOUS, SCARED, OR UNSURE ABOUT SOMETHING THAT MIGHT HAPPEN
Why do we worry?
Worrying is completely normal—even adults do it! Sometimes our brains try to guess what will happen next, and if we are trying something new (like a big test or a sports game), we might get a jittery feeling in our tummies
Anger is a natural emotion that helps kids show frustration, unfairness, hurt or lack of control. It can lead to challenging behaviors like tantrums, yelling, slamming doors and more.
It is like an alarm system in your body that warns you when something is wrong. It is okay to feel angry, but it is important to express it in ways that do not hurt. Anger is a natural, strong emotion you feel when you are frustrated, hurt, or wronged. It is your body’s way of reacting to a threat or unfair situation, often causing physical changes like a faster heartbeat or tense muscles as it prepares you to react.
Sadness can feel heavy in your chest or body, or make you want to cry. Sometimes it makes your shoulders droop or makes you feel a little tired.
Sadness is a feeling you get when you are unhappy, hurt, or disappointed. It is a normal emotion that happens when things don’t go as you hoped, when you miss someone, or when you lose something you care about
Jealousy is a feeling of being angry or sad because you want something someone else has, or because you are afraid of losing someone’s love and attention to someone else
It often gives you a funny, twisty feeling in your tummy. Imagine your best friend gets a shiny new bicycle. You might feel a little upset or frustrated because you wish you had that same cool bike, too.
“Scared” simply means feeling frightened, afraid, or worried that something bad might happen. It describes a state of fear or nervousness—like feeling panicked by a loud noise or being anxious about a stressful situation.
It is a natural feeling your body gives you when you think something dangerous or spooky is happening. When you are scared, your heart might beat really fast, or your tummy might feel like it is doing flip-flops
Loneliness is the sad feeling you get when you want to be with other people, but you feel left out or all by yourself.
Loneliness is an ache in your heart that happens when you feel left out or wish you had more friends to play with. It is just a feeling, and it is totally normal—even people who have lots of friends and family around can feel lonely sometimes!
